PRACTICAL IMAGE EDITING
About TextWiper
TextWiper is a browser-based image editor for removing selected text from one image or a collection. Its focus is choosing exactly what may change while keeping images on your device.

What the product does today
You can detect text, select words, brush a removal mask, protect areas, apply your own removal and keep rules, compare a repair and download PNG or JPG. The batch workspace adds serial processing and a ZIP export of successful results.
The free open beta began on October 10, 2026. The textwiper.com site launched on October 11, 2026. Editing does not require an account or card. No paid plans or subscriptions are available today; future services may have separate pricing.
Local processing and optional accounts
Image detection and repair run in your browser. The site serves the application and model files; it does not upload the image to an image-processing service. Your selected images and results stay in page memory, so download what you need before leaving.
An optional account can save preferences and your keyword templates. It does not create a cloud image gallery. Optional analytics is controlled by your consent; see the privacy page for the data collected and how to change that choice.
Current limits and honest expectations
- Formats: JPG, PNG and still WebP; no GIF, SVG or animated-image editing.
- Images: up to 10 MB, 16 megapixels and 4096 pixels per side.
- Batches: up to 10 images and 40 megapixels total, processed one at a time.
- OCR: English or Chinese + English. Small, rotated, decorative and low-contrast text may be missed.
- Repair: Quick repair for simpler areas; Local AI repair downloads approximately 28 MB on first use and can produce artifacts.
- Export: PNG keeps transparency; JPG uses white for transparent areas and re-encodes the whole image.
Removing text infers the background under the letters rather than recovering a guaranteed original. Results depend on the image and selection, so compare the repaired area before using it.
